The Government of São Paulo signs an agreement with the City of Suzano to implement ramps on the Alto Tietê Road Complex

The works will improve access to the East Section of the Mário Covas Beltway (SP-021) and will begin within 90 days

Another step towards the construction of the Alto Tietê Road Complex was taken this Thursday (3) with the signing of the agreement between the São Paulo State Investment Partnerships Secretariat (SPI) and the City of Suzano. With the document, it will be possible to make the necessary interventions to implement the infrastructure on the East Section of the Mário Covas Beltway (SP-021).

The Alto Tietê Road Complex foresees the construction of new ramps to Suzano and Poá, both entry and exit, in both directions of the Beltway. This will provide greater safety, fluidity and comfort for drivers. The works, estimated at approximately R$1 billion, will be carried out by the concessionaire SPMar.

“Access ramps are essential for Suzano, due to the heavy flow of cargo and passenger vehicles that travel through the region. This project on the Alto Tietê Road Complex is a priority for Governor Tarcísio de Freitas and we are sparing no effort to ensure that it is finally completed,” highlighted the Secretary of Investment Partnerships, Rafael Benini.

In Suzano, access will be via a new ramp on Avenida Brasil. Local roads will also be adapted to absorb traffic, in addition to the construction of a pedestrian walkway.

The roundabout providing access to Poá will undergo a complete remodeling, with the construction of a new viaduct and the adaptation of access roads to the city.
