São Paulo State Government begins mission in China focused on Mobility and Infrastructure

Meetings with CRSC, CRRC, Bank of China, CCCC, ICBC, CLAC, CDB, and AIIB marked the first two days of the agenda in Beijing

The Government of São Paulo began its official mission in China this Monday (16) with strategic meetings in Beijing. On the first day, the delegation met with China Railway Signal & Communication Corporation (CRSC) and CRRC Corporation Limited, global leaders in railway technology. In the afternoon, meetings were held with the Bank of China and the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), which also participated in an institutional dinner with the delegation.

On the second day (17), the agenda focused on financial partnerships and infrastructure. The delegation met with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the China–Latin America Infrastructure Forum (CLAC), the China Development Bank (CDB), and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), in addition to a follow-up meeting with CCCC. Highlights included projects such as the West Axis Intercity Train (TIC Eixo Oeste), with R$ 11.6 billion in investment, and the Santos–Guarujá Immersed Tunnel, which will be 1.5 km long and is scheduled for auction in the third quarter of 2025.

“We are presenting a strong portfolio, backed by regulatory security, social impact, and recognized technical capacity. The positive reception in the meetings confirms that São Paulo is currently one of the leading showcases for sustainable infrastructure in Latin America,” said the Secretary for Investment Partnerships, Rafael Benini.

The delegation is led by Benini and includes the President of ARTESP, André Isper, and the Director of Corporate Affairs at CPP, Augusto Almudin. The mission continues through June 27, with additional meetings scheduled in South Korea and Japan.
