The São Paulo State Government, through the Secretariat of Investment Partnerships and the São Paulo State Transport Agency (Artesp), has signed a concession contract with the concessionaire Ecovias Raposo Castello for the expansion, operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the Nova Raposo highway system. The contract was signed on March 14, 2025, and published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, March 18.
The concession, awarded through an international bidding process, is valid for 30 years and includes an estimated investment of R$ 7.9 billion. The project covers 92 kilometers of highways: Castello Branco (SP-280), Raposo Tavares (SP-270), and Coronel PM Nelson Tranchesi (SP-029). In addition to mandatory services, the contract allows for the generation of ancillary revenues.
The agreement was formalized with the winning concessionaire, with participation from Artesp and the State Highway Department (DER). The goal is to ensure key investments for the modernization and improvement of road infrastructure, promoting greater safety and efficiency for users.
