Public consultation for Line 16–Violeta ends on Monday, November 24

Interested parties must submit questions and proposals in writing exclusively to ppplinha16@sp.gov.br

The Government of the State of São Paulo, through the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships, reminds the public that these are the final days of the Public Consultation for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project of Metro Line 16–Violeta – the so-called Parks Line. Society has until Monday (11/24) to submit suggestions and contributions that will help refine the project, which will connect the east and west zones of the capital.

Interested parties must send questions and proposals in writing exclusively to ppplinha16@sp.gov.br, using the form available on the project’s page on the SPI website (Public Hearings and Consultation tab). Only contributions submitted within the deadline and with all mandatory fields completed will be considered. The regulations are also available on the Secretariat’s website.

With an estimated investment of R$ 37.5 billion, the first stage of the new line includes 19 kilometers and 16 stations (Teodoro Sampaio; Oscar Freire; Nove de Julho; Jardim Paulista; Parque Ibirapuera; Dante Pazzanese; Ana Rosa; Parque Aclimação; Parque Independência; São Carlos; Paes de Barros; Vila Bertioga; Álvaro Ramos; Regente Feijó; Anália Franco; and Abel Ferreira). This section is expected to transport an average of 475 thousand passengers per day by 2040. Line 16–Violeta will have eight transfer connections.

Line 16 will connect with eight lines: Line 1–Blue; Line 2–Green; Line 4–Yellow; Line 6–Orange; Line 10–Turquoise; and the future Lines 19–Celeste; 20–Rosa; and 22–Brown.

Public hearings
In addition to the consultation period, the public also participated in hearings held on October 7 and 8, in person and online, respectively. The sessions were broadcast and are available on the official YouTube channel of the Government of São Paulo.
