Last day of the public consultation to collect contributions on the new management model for Parque Bruno Covas

Qualified use permit project promoted by the Government of São Paulo seeks to improve the administrative model and expand services supporting public use of the area

This Thursday, January 22, marks the deadline for participation in the public consultation aimed at collecting contributions to improve the qualified use permit project for a public area located at Parque Bruno Covas – Novo Rio Pinheiros.

The initiative by the Government of São Paulo, through the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships (SPI) and the Secretariat for Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics (Semil), seeks to enhance the management model focused on the administration, operation, maintenance and organization of activities in the area.

The proposal provides for R$ 20 million in investments to expand services supporting public use, leisure options and requalification initiatives, with no admission fees, ensuring free access for the population and environmental preservation of the area.

The public consultation documents, as well as participation guidelines and the form for submitting contributions, are available on the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships website, in the project’s public consultations section. Only contributions submitted within the established deadline and in accordance with the guidelines available on the official page will be considered.

The project covers a stretch of approximately 8.2 kilometers along the west bank of the Pinheiros River and seeks to ensure the park’s operational sustainability, strengthening its role as a space for leisure, sports, culture, social interaction and urban and environmental integration, with greater safety for users.

Between 2021 and 2024, Parque Bruno Covas received more than 5.4 million visitors, reinforcing the importance of a management model capable of ensuring the quality, maintenance and expansion of services offered to the population.

Public hearing

On January 21, a public hearing was held to present the project and gather suggestions for improving the initiative. Contributions from both the public consultation and the public hearing will now be reviewed by the technical teams of the secretariats for possible incorporation into the final version of the project.
