The Government of São Paulo, through the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships (SPI) and the Secretariat for Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics (Semil), will hold a public hearing on January 21, at 11 a.m., to present the project and gather suggestions to improve the proposal for a use permit of a public area located within Bruno Covas Park – Novo Rio Pinheiros. The hearing will be held online and broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Government of São Paulo.
The initiative aims to enhance the park’s management model through a qualified use permit focused on the administration, operation, maintenance and organization of activities within the space. The proposal provides for the expansion of public-use support services, leisure options and requalification initiatives, with no admission fee, ensuring free public access and the environmental preservation of the area.
The project covers a stretch of approximately 8.2 kilometers along the western bank of the Pinheiros River and seeks to ensure the park’s operational sustainability, strengthening its role as a space for leisure, sports, culture, social interaction and urban and environmental integration, with increased safety for users. Between 2021 and 2024, Bruno Covas Park welcomed more than 5.4 million visitors, reinforcing the importance of a management model capable of ensuring the quality, maintenance and expansion of services offered to the population.
To participate in the public hearing, interested parties may register in advance through a form available on the project page on the SPI website (https://www.parceriaseminvestimentos.sp.gov.br/projeto-qualificado/parque-bruno-covas/) until January 20, at 5 p.m.
