Government of São Paulo republishes bid notice for the Rota Mogiana concession

Project expands investments and safety across more than 500 km of highways in the interior of São Paulo

The Government of São Paulo, through the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships (SPI), republished this Friday (January 2) the bid notice for the Rota Mogiana Lot concession, a project that will modernize and expand more than 500 km of highways in the interior of the State. The republication consolidates technical adjustments made following contributions from society, municipal authorities and technical dialogue with the sector, with the aim of strengthening the project and ensuring the execution of the planned improvements.

In total, the project received 284 public contributions, which were analyzed by the technical teams of SPI and Artesp and incorporated into the bid notice. The adjustments involve contractual and operational parameters, providing greater legal certainty and ensuring that investments are effectively delivered, without changing the set of works planned for the region. The auction remains scheduled for February 27, 2026, at B3, in São Paulo.

Covering 520 km, the concession provides for R$ 9.3 billion in investments in duplications, additional lanes, frontage roads, shoulders, pedestrian overpasses, access interchanges, bike lanes and the Águas da Prata bypass. The future concessionaire will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and expansion of the highway network for 30 years.

São Paulo highways among the best in the country

According to the latest Highway Survey by the National Confederation of Transport (CNT), 14 of the 20 highest-rated highways in Brazil are located in São Paulo, 11 of which are concessioned. The survey considers criteria such as pavement quality, signage and road geometry, reinforcing the State’s performance in road safety and operational efficiency.

In addition to infrastructure and safety improvements, the Rota Mogiana concession is expected to boost regional economic development, generating jobs and positive impacts on the logistics, agriculture, commerce and services sectors in the municipalities served.

The project is part of SP pra Toda Obra, the largest highway program in the State’s history, with more than R$ 30 billion in investments and 1,500 interventions across 22,000 km of public and concessioned highways.
