On Monday, March 10, at 10 a.m., the Government of the State of São Paulo, through the Secretariat for Partnerships in Investments (SPI), will hold a public hearing to present the concession project for the Circuito das Águas highway lot, at the Campinas City Council.
The concession of the Circuito das Águas lot covers approximately 533 kilometers of highways, including segments currently managed by the DER/SP and the private concessionaire Renovias. The project foresees the duplication of segments of highways SP-354, SP-324, SP-332, SP-342, SP-063, SP-095, SP-008, SP-360, SP-133, and SP-107, the addition of lanes to SP-340, and the construction of the Águas da Prata Bypass to ease regional traffic. The plan also includes new pedestrian overpasses and improved lighting in urban areas to ensure greater safety for both pedestrians and drivers.
The total estimated investment is over R$ 10 billion in infrastructure, with a 30-year concession term, benefiting the municipalities of Campinas, Bragança Paulista, Itatiba, Holambra, Jaguariúna, Pedreira, Amparo, Serra Negra, Lindóia, Águas de Lindóia, Socorro, Monte Alegre do Sul, Itapira, Estiva Gerbi, and Espírito Santo do Pinhal. Through the “Siga Fácil SP” program, toll collection will also be automatic via free-flow technology.
In addition to Campinas, two more public hearings will be held to gather public input: in Mogi Guaçu (in-person participation) on March 11 at 2 p.m.; and at Artesp/São Paulo (in-person and online) on March 14 at 10 a.m.
