See what the new Intercity Train – North Axis vehicles will look like

The train will transport passengers from the São Paulo capital to the countryside in approximately 64 minutes at speeds of up to 140 km/h

The Intercity Train (TIC) – North Axis has had its external design defined by TIC Trens, the concessionaire responsible for the project. With operations scheduled to begin in 2031, the express service between São Paulo and Campinas marks a new phase for rail mobility in Brazil.

The train’s exterior design, which will carry passengers from the capital to the countryside in about 64 minutes at speeds of up to 140 km/h, adopts a technology-driven aesthetic concept aligned with the concessionaire’s brand color palette. The graphic elements highlight attributes such as dynamism and innovation.

The proposal follows a minimalist approach, featuring straight lines and precise cuts that reinforce the perception of speed, fluidity, and futurism. The result is a contemporary visual identity that distinguishes the Intercity Train (TIC) – North Axis within the railway landscape and aligns with the broader modernization of rail transport in São Paulo.

Construction works for the implementation of the Intercity Train (TIC) – North Axis are scheduled to begin in the first half of this year. In addition to the express service, TIC Trens is also responsible for implementing the Intermetropolitan Train (TIM) between Jundiaí and Campinas, with stops in Valinhos, Vinhedo, and Louveira, as well as for the modernization, operation, and maintenance of Line 7-Rubi of São Paulo’s metropolitan train system.
