Government of São Paulo opens public consultation for management of Bruno Covas Park

Contribution period runs from January 2 to 22 and aims to improve the management model and the park’s potential as a key space for sports, leisure and urban coexistence in the city of São Paulo

The Government of São Paulo, through the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships (SPI) and the Secretariat for Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics (Semil), will open on January 2 a public consultation on the proposal for the management and administration of Bruno Covas Park, located in the Novo Rio Pinheiros area in the city of São Paulo, by a new private partner. The contribution period will remain open until January 22.

The initiative aims to enhance the park’s management model through a qualified use permit focused on the administration and organization of activities within the space. The proposal foresees investments of approximately R$ 20 million over a 48-month period for operation, maintenance and expansion of public-use support services, leisure options and requalification initiatives, with no admission fee, ensuring free public access and the environmental preservation of the area.

The project covers a stretch of approximately 8.2 kilometers along the western bank of the Pinheiros River and seeks to ensure the park’s operational sustainability, strengthening its role as a space for leisure, sports, culture, social interaction and urban and environmental integration, with improved safety for users.

Between 2021 and 2024, the park welcomed more than 5.4 million visitors, reinforcing the importance of a management model capable of ensuring the quality, maintenance and expansion of services offered to the population.

The public consultation documents, as well as participation guidelines and the contribution submission form, will be available on the website of the Secretariat for Investment Partnerships (www.parceriaseminvestimentos.sp.gov.br), in the project’s public consultation section. Only contributions submitted within the established deadline and in accordance with the guidelines available on the official page will be considered.
