The Circuito das Águas Lot concession project of the São Paulo Government’s Investment Partnerships Secretariat (SPI) includes improvements to the Adhemar Pereira de Barros Highway (SP-342), which involves the municipalities of Mogi Mirim, Mogi Guaçu, Espírito Santo do Pinhal, São João da Boa Vista and Águas da Prata.
The investments in the SP-342 include the duplication of 46 kilometers, 10 kilometers of marginal adequacy, new devices, footbridges in more urbanized stretches and the bypass in the city of Águas da Prata.
The concession will bring greater safety and fluidity, with the modernization of the infrastructure and the adoption of state-of-the-art technology, as well as a direct impact on the local economy, with the generation of direct and indirect jobs.
The stretch between Mogi Guaçu and Águas da Prata is almost 70 kilometers long and is used to access municipalities in the south of Minas Gerais, such as Poços de Caldas. The tourist town of Águas da Prata connects São Paulo to Minas Gerais, on the slopes of the Serra da Mantiqueira.
About the road lot
The Circuito das Águas lot will cover 533 km that cut through 33 municipalities and play a strategic role for the economy, tourism and mobility. The project foresees investments of R$10 billion in duplications, additional lanes, shoulders and footbridges, among other improvements.
In addition to SP-342, the concession will include stretches of the SP-008, SP-063, SP-095, SP-107, SP-133, SP-147, SP-324, SP-332, SP-340, SP-354 and SP-360 highways, benefiting cities such as Águas da Prata, Águas de Lindóia, Amparo, Artur Nogueira, Atibaia, Bragança Paulista, Caieiras, Cajamar, Campinas, Campo Limpo Paulista, Cosmópolis, Espírito Santo do Pinhal, Franco da Rocha, Holambra, Itapira, Itatiba, Itupeva, Jaguariúna, Jarinu, Jundiaí, Limeira, Lindóia, Mogi Guaçu, Mogi Mirim, Pedreira, Pinhalzinho, Santo Antônio de Posse, São João da Boa Vista, Serra Negra, Socorro and Vinhedo.
Among the improvements planned are 187 km of dualling, 109 km of additional lanes and third lanes, 133 km of widened or implanted shoulders, 89 km of new bypasses and 48 km of adjustments to bypasses, 45 footbridges and 68 level and uneven devices. There are also plans for a new bypass at Águas da Prata.
SPI held three public hearings to present the project and listen to society. The meetings took place in person in Campinas (10/3) and Mogi Guaçu (11/3), as well as a hybrid session at Artesp, in São Paulo (14/3). The public notice is expected to be published in May this year, the auction in September and the contract signed in January 2026.
Investment Partnership Program
