The privatization project for SABESP (São Paulo State Basic Sanitation Company) was executed and completed by the State Government in 2024. One of the main goals of the share sale was to accelerate the universalization of water and sanitation services and improve service quality. The public offering took place in July, with Equatorial Participações e Investimentos as the anchor investor (15%). The total investment is projected at R$ 260 billion. The State of São Paulo retains an 18% ownership stake.
